Celebrate Fall & Winter

Tennaqua’s extensive instructional, social and competitive paddle programs provide members with a unique and stimulating fall and winter experience. Tennaqua has four paddle courts and  a Lodge where spectators can warm up between sets and members may lounge by the fireplace during winter socials and parties. With a season twice the length of the tennis season, members have discovered how enjoyable fall and winter can be out on the paddle courts.

Our full-time, APTA-certified paddle pro, is available for private or group lessons. He can be found on the courts throughout the season instructing and guiding our teams to victory. No matter your skill level, you will enjoy the camaraderie this sport builds and discover a new appreciation for Chicago’s long winters.

Adult Paddle

Whether you are experiencing paddle for the first time or playing at the highest series level, Tennaqua has a program designed for you. Women and men may join our Chicago Platform Tennis Charities League and play competitively against other clubs in weekly matches. Or join the in-house league to soothe that competitive edge. Men mix it up on the courts Saturday mornings for open paddle, while Sunday afternoon is reserved for the working women.

Competitive Paddle

As members of the American Platform Tennis Association and the Chicago Platform Tennis Charities League, we field many men’s and women’s teams of all levels that play com

winter paddle playerspetitively with clubs throughout the Chicago area. Teams gain confidence and skill through weekly drills with our paddle pro.

Junior Paddle

After school hours accommodate our expanding junior program. All teens are invited to discover this fun game.

Social Paddle

A clinic run by top area pros kicks off our paddle season each September. From then through April, paddle players celebrate with mixed doubles tournaments, a variety of socials, family days and open paddle playtime.
